We haven't had a 'Top 5' update in a while, and since our last count of the top five contributors to icommons.org, the stakes have changed with a set of new karma contenders for the position of iCommons voting master or mistress.

A big congratulations to the following iCommoners: (and a special welcome to the newbies on the list!)
1. Kiruba Shankar (who beat Steve Foerster out of his previous number one spot!)
2. Steve Foerster
3. Judy Breck
4. Paul Jacobson
5. Paula Martini

Thanks to all of you for your five star efforts on icommons.org!

To aspiring Top 5 iCommoners: get these powerful people to vote for your contributions! You could earn even more karmas for yourself, and get on the Top 5 list too! Also get blogging, uploading, participating in nodes, voting and commenting.

Remember, the more you participate, the more karma you collect, and the more karma you have, the more powerful your vote.

To find out exactly how the point and karma system works read the site's FAQ.

My second attempt to post...hope it goes

Congratulations Kiruba, Steve, Judy, Paul and Paula!!! I am still little confused about karma points etc. I'd give Daniela my personal five star for all the help she had given me in editing my rather long article.

And wonder why Articles has to lump all these together..."blog entries, reports, feedback, articles or reviews related to free culture events, news and activities"

Why can't we have separate categories for easier search when icommons grows bigger? And "icommons blog" can be better labeled as "icommons staff blog" More clarity creates less confusion.

My two cents here!
cheers

Hey Susmita

Thanks for the 5 stars - it's always a pleasure to help... :)

To respond to your queries: the reason why we give such a list of articles is basically just to give upcoming writers some ideas on what types of content they can contribute to the site.

As for an improved search - this is definitely on the cards for icommons.org already! :)

Thanks for your 2 cents!
