The 2007 conference will focus on the ICT challenges facing the CSO sector, highlighting and promoting practical benefits, opportunities and lessons learned to date. It will provide both CSOs that are ICT-enabled, as well as those organisations that are considering introducing ICT solutions to their work, with an important opportunity to discuss critical issues of common concern and learn from one another’s experiences.

The iCommons team with the help of Andrew Rens (legal lead for ccZA and current fellow at TSF) and Dwayne Bailey of translate.org banded together to present a fun, interactive session at the recent Sangonet conf entitled: Remix (in) the Rainbow Nation. We developed themes of language (collaborative, inclusive rather than elitist, limited) and peer producing content. We argued along a spectragram (think Gunner at the Summit) and also showcased the iCommons website as a useful resource.
